Gialdi
Tessin / Winegrowers
Description of the offer
Gialdi Vini SA was founded in 1953 by Guglielmo Gialdi as a wine merchant. In 1984, following the purchase of a winery in northern Ticino, the company began producing its own Merlot wines, a production which over the years has expanded both north and south of the canton, with the vinification of grapes from the Mendrisiotto and Tre Valli regions.
The determination of Feliciano Gialdi, son of the company's founder and current managing director, has ensured the company's ongoing commitment to the production of top-quality wines, equipping the winery with the best technology and investing regularly over the years in the best means of production.
All this with the utmost respect for the territoriality of the wines, and maintaining the tradition of ageing the precious nectars. The wines are matured in French barrels housed in old historic cellars dug into the rock and dating back to the 20th century, where a stable temperature and a good balance between humidity and natural ventilation guarantee ideal ageing for the wines.
Feliciano Gialdi also attaches great importance to the work of all his collaborators, and in particular to his cellar team and oenologist Alfred De Martin. The collaboration and professionalism of his loyal employees, combined with his many investments, have led the company and its wines to establish themselves as one of the most important wineries in Switzerland.
