Who are we?
The Chai du Baron adjoins the old stone bridge in the village of Bramois. This magnificent 17th-century building is a privileged place where history and tradition rub shoulders with all the features needed to produce quality wines.
Our grapes come from 20 hectares of vines that we work with respect and passion. Located exclusively on the sunny terraces of central Valais, our estates extend over prestigious terroirs such as Clavau, Molignon and Uvrier.
In 2015, Patrice Walpen took over the reins at Chai du Baron. A native of the region, he puts to good use, with his characteristic enthusiasm and touch of originality, his wine-making experience acquired in Switzerland and South Africa.
Le Chai du Baron offers a full range of traditional wines, as well as the specialties for which the Valais is famous.
